Today on the
Chromium blog,
we announced that we’re open-sourcing the
RLZ library in Google Chrome as its own project. The RLZ library gives us the ability to accurately measure the success of marketing promotions and distribution partnerships in order to meet our contractual and financial obligations. For example, the RLZ library generates a query parameter that sometimes appears in Google search URLs in distributed products:
